She was a homemaker and an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting, sculpture and ceramics.
She also volunteered in Florida for Alzheimer’s care and grief care.
For over 60 years Ruth worked as a waitress in various restaurants in the Glen Burnie and Brooklyn Park area. Interment will follow at the Eastern Shore Memorial Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock, Md.
She was a people person who truly loved her co-workers and cherished the friendships she made with her customers. With a physical speed, competitive attitude and fearless personality, he began participating in all sports at a young age.4, 2018, at Transitions Life Care Hospice in Raleigh, N. After moving to Salisbury, Md., she worked as a jewelry buyer for Benjamin’s department store, relishing the New York City buying trips to make the season’s selections.Her love affair with jewelry persisted throughout her life.She always put the needs of others before hers and would help anyone in need. Brown (Bambi), Carla Hall (David), Helen Bean (Ernie), Maurice E. (Sandy), June Werkey (Dan), Nancy Huson (Robert), Vicky Hodgins (Raymond) and Kenny Zimmerman; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was an active member of Blades United Methodist Church.She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Maurice E. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also a member of the Secretaries Association for the State of Delaware.
