Buffalo Police Department will only contact you if there is a criminal incident in the vicinity of your security cameras.
Police personnel may request to view and copy video images captured by your camera to assist in the investigation of a crime.
You need to provide basic contact information and where the cameras are located.
There is no cost for registration and your personal information is confidential.
You may cancel your registration at any time by sending an email to: Buffalo Safe [email protected]
Once you complete the registration process a member from the Department will contact you by telephone to request a visit to your residence/business to verify the information you have provided.
When the matching process is done then, as long as the data supplied is sufficient (and correct), the result will be one database record with two registration codes, either of which can be used to collect passwords.
Please ensure you quote the CRSid of the user to enable us to link the two pre-arrival registrations requests together.
We just recently set up a reef tank in the office and wanted a cool way to check on it while we were away (we are total dorks, we know). It was cheap and easy and with No-IP, you can check in online, even if you have one of those pesky dynamic IPs. Just make sure that you aren’t invading anyone’s privacy or breaking any of these laws. You can find a cheap one online, we ordered ours from Amazon. Our reef tank cam is attached with electrical tape to the side of the tank.
It allows you the Citizens of Buffalo, NY to register your cameras which may help deter crime and assist the Department with their crime prevention strategies in your neighborhood.
Registration is simple and only takes a few minutes of time.
